Sometimes you’ve got to take the hardest line
When independent MP Dr Monique Ryan wanted to shine a light on lobbying in Australian government, she needed a team who would turn this bright idea into a campaign that would illuminate the public. Brains produced powerful messaging, designed and built the website and delivered a targeted social campaign. All in the name of bringing accountability to political decision making.
With close to 10,000 people signing the petition, Dr Ryan’s campaign gained the groundswell needed to successfully move to a Senate inquiry in December 2023 – only three weeks after she introduced the Act into the House of Representatives.
With this inquiry, there will be more scrutiny on the regulation of lobbyists than there has been in years. The committee has been tasked with answering important questions about the lobbying register and sponsored passes.
